Interview Preparation

If you are like most of the candidates we interview, you want to know what to expect during your interview and what we are looking for. Here we offer some guidance on how you can prepare yourself for the interview.

Do your research
We expect you to study our company and businesses, products and services, industry trends, our main competitors, the position for which you are interviewing, opportunities for career development and some of the projects that our employees deal with.. This ensures that you understand more of what the company is pursuing, while good preparation also increases confidence. You can search through news media and surveys relating to Marel, or maybe you even already know a company employee.

Be yourself
The interview provides both you and Marel with an opportunity to assess the overall fit between yourself and the company. Familiarize yourself with the job description you are interested in, and remember that genuine enthusiasm and a positive attitude can help you make a good impression. The interview will be most effective if you are yourself. Be honest and don’t hesitate to show your personality.

Think of your answers
During your interview, we will ask you a series of specific questions centered on the position for which you are applying, in order to help us assess your capabilities and potential for growth. Speak honestly and accurately about your experience and qualifications. Generally, we look for a strong desire to learn, creativity, a passion for technology, willingness to work hard, skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to be the best!

Interview us
You are in the process of making a decision that will impact on your career for many years to come. Take this opportunity to ask questions about Marel and how we develop our company, people and vision. Thoughtful questions demonstrate your level of understanding, interests and passions. We are more than willing to share our insights in order to help you make the best decision for your career.
