For our office in Bangkok, Thailand we are looking for an ambitious experienced Account Manager Poultry.

The function

We are looking for a passionate Account Manager who will partner with our existing customers and agent and will canvass the poultry processing market for new opportunities. The Account Manager’s main role is to manage the customers in the assigned area, develop new business with these existing clients as well as actively seeking new prospects and opportunities within the poultry processing market. The role reports to the Regional Sales Manager Poultry based in The Netherlands.

During this program you will gather knowledge about our markets, our portfolio of products and services, about poultry processing technology and about our sales process and organization. The duration of the program may vary depending on your skills and experience.

After this training program, you will start working as an Account Manager for the sales area Thailand. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relations with customers;
  • Pro-actively screening the market for new opportunities and –prospects;
  • Develop an advisor relationship with key accounts, client stake-holders and executive sponsors to become the customer expert in your sales area;
  • Ensure deep trust and involvement by developing intimate understanding of customer needs;
  • Determining and executing operational sales plans for your sales area in line with the strategic plan;
  • Realization of your commercial targets;
  • Prepare reports of your sales activities;
  • Forecast and track status of your opportunities in the CRM system;
  • Participating at (inter)national trade shows and Marel Customer Events;
  • Selling directly and with support of the Regional Sales Manager. 


You have proven work experience (5+ years) as a Sales Account Manager or a similar position in a capital goods and business to business environment. You have a bachelor degree within a technical area (preferably mechanical engineering) with the ability to translate requirements to value added solutions and you have the ambition to develop yourself further as a sales professional within a 1st class market leading company. Ideally, you have experience in selling equipment for the food processing sector or related.
As a person, you are emphatic, energetic and sharp, result driven, independent and you have an entrepreneurial mindset. You are down to earth and you have a pragmatic way of approaching your job and its tasks. You are able to communicate (over phone, in writing and face to face) professionally, persuasively and confidently in both Thai and English. Last but not least, you are willing to travel circa 50-70% of your time within your area.
