China’s driving force for innovation

CIMIE is the biggest tradeshow for protein industries in China. In Qingdao City, Marel and Treif had a cobranded booth for the first time. About 400 visitors visited our booth and met our experts in meat processing, poultry processing and prepared foods.

Rapid developments

In recent years, China's processing industry has developed rapidly. On the one hand, the demand for automation equipment is becoming stronger and stronger. On the other hand, the declining meat prices have squeezed enterprise profits and intensified industry competition, resulting in increased cost pressure year by year. To obtain higher value protein products while maintaining yields and competitiveness in the turbulent industry cycle has become the driving force for innovation.

Fruitful discussions

During three days, the Marel booth at CIMIE was packed with senior executives from many leading enterprises in the meat, poultry and further processing industries, such as Muyuan, Longda, CP, Shuanghui, New Hope, Dongguan Nanbo, Cargill, Dekang, Huapei, Hefeng, Gaosheng, Jiuxing, Yunken, Chaohe and many more. They had fruitful discussions with Marel's experts about the latest innovations in primary, secondary, and further processing.

Many visitors from the industries were triggered by the innovations in focus to take a look at Marel's booth . For the meat industry, the high-precision M-line robot, DeboFlex, SensorX Accuro and Water Treatment were put in the spotlights. All industries accentuated the importance of Innova software, and Marel Prepared Food highlighted the new 1000mm RevoPortioner.

Marel's Thigh Fillet System, the automated poultry deboning system in the ACM-NT cut-up line, received the most votes for being the most popular production and processing equipment in the 19th China International Meat Industry Week. It won the title of 'Specially Recommended High-quality Product'.
