This is the third year that Tour de Marel supports the SOS Children‘s Villages in Yamoussoukro. Through teamwork and commitment, Marel employees have so far raised EUR 150,000, which has been used to build and support a school providing education for 210 orphans and abandoned children in Yamoussoukro.
Marel employees continue to support the children in the Ivory Coast and in 2015 are hoping to raise enough money to build a library to help further develop their education.
Employees in more than 30 Marel locations worldwide will participate in Tour de Marel by running, walking, cycling and holding a variety of other fundraising events.
Employees in Iceland, with the help of family and friends, will run the distance from Iceland to Ivory Coast; 6,500 km in 24 hour to raise donations for the children in Yamoussoukro.
Tour de Marel is the global initiative of Marel employees worldwide but this time around Marel will match the donation that Marel employees will raise euro for euro. This generous act will double the impact of our efforts this year and make sure that Tour de Marel will reach even more children in need than before.
Please help us to help the children in Yamoussoukro and donate to Tour de Marel
