Marel demos draw crowds at China Fisheries

Visitors have been flocking to Marel’s stand at the China Fisheries and Seafood Expo this week, enjoying demonstrations of the I-Cut 11 PortionCutter and the Silk Cut MSC 180 MA Multi Angle Slicer.

There has been a lot of interest in the impressive Multi Angle Slicer, which is one of the most flexible slicers on the market today. Demonstrations have been showing off its 8°-70° slicing interval and its ability to produce long, thin slices, short slices, and portions at up to 180 cuts per minute.

The slicer is used for fresh slicing and portioning of cold smoked, hot smoked, marinated and raw salmon, trout, and other similar fish species.

There has also been plenty of interest in the I-Cut 11 PortionCutter, which is ideal for high-value portioning into fixed-weight and fixed-length portions.

The machine has been designed with new generation processing software with maximum programming flexibility and a variety of specialized cutting patterns to guarantee maximum return on investment, and its compact design makes it easy to install in any small plant layout.

Marel’s strong partnerships with the industry play a vital role in developing innovative fish processing equipment and solutions. All Marel products are designed to help processors maximize yields, throughput, and quality, while reducing processing times and labor costs.

China Fisheries and Seafood Expo runs from 4 to 6 November in Qingdao, China.
