Marel highlights high-value portion cutting at Expo Pesca

Visitors to the Marel stand at the Expo Pesca exhibition in Lima last week were treated to ongoing demonstrations of the I-Cut 130 PortionCutter, highlighting the benefits of using it for processing fish.

The I-Cut 130 PortionCutter for high-value fixed-weight and fixed-length portioning is equipped with a new generation touchscreen and user-interface that make daily operation and programming easier than ever before.

Its powerful computer and new laser vision system ensure unmatched accuracy, and it can be integrated with other Marel equipment for optimized cutting and batching processes.

In addition to the focus on portion cutting, Marel’s Regional Innova Manager, Zarko Minic, held a presentation at the expo on Friday entitled: Improving the Production Process of Squid and Mahi Mahi.

A competition was also run at the stand promoting Marel’s Insight Fish quarterly e-newsletter—now available in Spanish—with three fish leather wallets up for grabs.
