Marel signs Climate Issues Declaration

By endorsing the declaration Marel is committing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and reducing waste.

Marel, along with over 100 other leading Icelandic Organizations, has signed a Climate Issues Declaration issued by the City of Reykjavík and Festa, the Icelandic Center for Corporate Social Responsibility.

By endorsing the declaration Marel confirms that it intends to display its social responsibility by reducing emissions of greenhouse gases, reducing waste as well as monitoring the results of the measures and regularly publicizing information on the status of the above-mentioned issues.

The 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP 21 will be held in Paris from November 30 to December 11. It will be the 21st yearly session of the Conference of the Parties to the 1992 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

By signing the declaration, Marel states its intention, along with other leading Icelandic organizations, regarding contributing to the United Nation’s Climate Change Framework.
