Account Manager - France
The functionAs Account Manager you are responsible for the commercial activities and reaching the commercial targets agreed for your region. You are also responsible for taking up the role of (Key) Account Manager towards customers in your region and you will work together with the Account Managers, Area Sales Managers, Product Specialists, agents and the back office Sales in determining the real customer need and developing and selling solutions, and ensure commercial progress reporting.
Your main responsibilities:
- Responsible for establishing and implementing a structural market plan, aimed at developing Marel’s market shares in Meat Regional industry.
- Responsible for proposing and implementing operational sales plans annually and achieving the objectives in terms of sales and margins.
- Aim of this role is to drive the sales; justify their value and increase our market share year on year, while meeting our customers’ requirements and building solid long term relationships.
- You will be doing operational sales activities for (key) Accounts in your region. Therefore you will be responsible for the coordination of the sales process to the internal organization and the external customer, next to doing direct sales.
RequirementsYou have a bachelor degree within a technical area (preferably mechanical engineering). After your studies, you have been working 8-10 years in a capital good sales environment and you have the ambition to develop yourself further as an Account Manager in a 1st class market leading company. Ideally, you have experience in selling equipment for the food sector, but this is not a must.
As a person, you are result driven, service oriented with an entrepreneurial drive. You have excellent communication skills and you can think strategically. Furthermore you are a good people manager and can manage the performance of your team.Last but not least, you are willing to travel circa 50-70% of your time within your region.
