A change of final products

Ruud Berkers, Marel Poultry’s Regional Sales Director, says, “The poultry business in Latin America is advancing more than ever. The growth of domestic consumption and the demand from supermarkets and QSRs for cuts and value added chicken parts really drives the need for automation. Completely in line with this development, we see that processing companies that already are processing poultry in industrial plants are changing their final products; whole birds are losing ground in favor of chicken portions. Such processors definitely need automated solutions for cutting, deboning and portioning. Our ACM-NT cut-up solution and our AMF-i breast deboning system are very helpful devices in this matter. And of course our sophisticated Marel portioning, grading and batching systems can finalize the process."
