Accountant
Scope and Authority

We are looking for the Accountant, this role manages all financial transactions for a subsidiary. The responsibilities include checking and processing financial documents, ensuring compliance to policies and procedures, reconciling bank statements, managing AR, AP and inventory function. The Accountant assists in month end processing and other day to day financial tasks.
Main Tasks
- Process vendor payments by following the processes and upload to the bank
- Accounts receivable function- provide timely outstanding ageing report and follow up with customers
- Sales Ledger – create and email out sales invoices to customer
- Month end journal and reconciliations
- Assisting in processing monthly inventory closure and ensure internal controls are in place
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Prepares Intercompany reconciliations
- Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents
- Assist with various management information reports
- Work closely with the stakeholders to provide day to day support
Skills and Abilities
- Good attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data
- Advance Microsoft office skills
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with the wider business
- Someone who take initiative and thinks about how they can ‘add value’ to the organization.
Education, Knowledge, and Experience
- Tertiary qualification accounting, commerce and/or finance
- 4-6 years working experience as an Accountant/Accounts Officer
- Experience in MYOB and Microsoft Dynamics is preferable but not essential
- Good English skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with and comfort working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage.
