Sales Project Manager & Team Lead Aarhus

We are looking for a proactive and customer-oriented Sales Project Manager & Team Lead Sales Operations to join our RFS Business Unit within the Poultry Division of JBT Marel.


In this dual role, you will primarily manage sales projects from contract signature to handover to Service, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will dedicate approximately 10% of your time to leading and coordinating the Sales Operations team in Aarhus, supporting the team’s performance, alignment, and development.


As Sales Project Manager, you are responsible for the planning, organization, communication, and control of project work in line with contractual agreements and internal objectives. Acting as the main contact point for customers and internal stakeholders, you will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.


As Team Lead Sales Operations, you will guide the team in process improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Project Management (90%)

  • Act as the primary contact for customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle—from start-up to handover to Service.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, integrating input from all relevant functions.

  • Keep stakeholders informed on project progress, risks, and deviations.

  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure project success.

  • Coordinate and support project team members, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.

  • Manage financial performance and reporting.

  • Oversee third-party deliveries in collaboration with Purchasing.

  • Plan and coordinate FAT, installation, commissioning and training activities with Service.

  • Manage change requests and subcontracted services as needed.

  • Ensure smooth customer handover to Service and closure of follow-up actions or snag lists.

  • Conduct project evaluations to identify best practices and improvement opportunities.

  • Customer visits to monitor progress and strengthen relationships.

  • Advise customers on project planning, process optimization, and technical considerations.


Team Lead Sales Operations (10%)

  • Provide coordination and guidance to the Sales Operations team.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

  • Act as liaison between the team, management, and other business functions to ensure operational efficiency.

Skills and Abilities

  • Leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across diverse teams and cultures.

  • Excellent customer focus and problem-solving skills.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.

  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and quality.

Education, Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.

  • Project Management certification (IPMA or equivalent) preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management.

  • Experience working in multicultural, cross-functional environments is an advantage.
