New Compact Grader: We’re also launching the new and improved Compact Grader during the Brussels expo. This is a flexible solution with up to eight gates, that can be combined with free-standing batching bins and a packing table.
FleXitrim: Since it was first introduced, we have established the advantages of this trimming line’s advanced feedback capability. We will now release FleXitrim for sale in Brussels, and demonstrate how it gives operators the information they need to improve trimming results.

The automation of bone removal with FleXicut raises productivity and greatly improves product handling and yield. Automated product distribution and packing robots make this process even more efficient. Marel has just released FleXicut for salmon processing too.
We are demonstrating our automatic Deheading Machine, with automatic tail cut and automatic infeed into the Filleting Machine, which features automatic back and belly trimming. The Automatic Infeed unit raises fish upwards to ensure the fish enter the machine at a steady pace and in the correct position for cutting.
We introduced QC Scanner in Brussels last year and have now released it for sale. The machine scans fillets after trimming or skinning. By registering volume, color, melanin spots, blood spots, trimming defects, skinning defects, and brown meat, you can sort fillets downstream and better control the quality and size of each fillet.
The fully automatic RoboBatcher Thermoformer packs whitefish or salmon portions into thermoform packs at high speed. Fixed-weight batching with the RoboBatcher helps you make the best use of the raw material.
Using data from Marel’s Innova Food Processing Software, the RoboBatcher can automatically adjust processing based on which product weights and sizes the best match the order requirements.
