Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition

A warm Marel welcome awaits visitors to Stand B30 at this year's Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition, being staged at the Smárinn sports and exhibition complex, Kópavogur, 25-27 September.

A team of Marel professionals will be on hand throughout the show to provide information and insights into the company‘s systems, solutions, and equipment for the fish industry.

Among the products highlighted will be the next generation of whitefish processing lines, with FleXicut, a trimming robot for high precision bone detection and removal. The Nor-Fishing Foundation Innovation Prize was awarded to the FleXicut in August this year.

The latest edition of Marel's Innova production management software will also be featured. Now in its fifth generation, Innova Software Solutions cover every stage of the production process. The brains behind almost all Marel systems and equipment, Innova is an invaluable tool in helping processors maximize yield, quality, and throughput from their operations.

A tri-annual event covering every aspect of the commercial fishing industry, the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition attracted exhibitors from almost 500 companies from 33 countries when last staged in 2011, and drew almost 12,500 visitors from 50 countries.

Happy Hour

On Thursday and Friday between 4 and 5 pm we will hold a Danish themed Happy Hour celebrating the recent opening of Progress Point, our new demonstration and training center in Copenhagen. Progress Point gives you the opportunity to discover the full potential of Marel’s equipment and integrated systems in a hands-on environment.

Come and enjoy a taste of Denmark with Kim Larsen, Carlsberg, schnapps, and Danish open sandwiches to name a few. When you register online for Happy Hour, you are automatically entered into the draw to win, among other prizes, a trip to a Progress Point event of your choice in 2015, including flights and accommodation.
