Seafood ShowHow Seattle
QUALITY SEAFOOD DESERVES QUALITY PROCESSING
From November 15 to 17, our advanced equipment and customized integrated systems for processing salmon and whitefish, both onboard and ashore, will be in the spotlight.
See first-hand how our solutions can help you raise quality, meet today’s production challenges and optimize your processing performance. Highlights include a new QC scanner for salmon and the FleXicut pinboning and portioning line for whitefish, with automatic product distribution system.
As well as equipment demonstrations, members of our service team will be at hand to discuss how we provide top quality customer care, including a new web chat service that helps ensure a fast response from Marel service technicians.
Demonstrations will include:
PINBONING & PORTIONING – A FleXicut line with updated product distribution system and rework station. The automation of bone removal with FleXicut raises productivity and greatly improves product handling and yield.
VIRTUAL REALITY – Walk through a computer rendered model of a modern processing facility for a unique insight into automatic whitefish processing.
QC SCANNING – The QC scanner (not yet released for sale) raises quality and productivity by color grading fillets and automatically detecting defects such as pearl stripes and melanin or blood spots.
FILLETING – The MS2730 salmon filleting machine with integrated back and belly trimming, makes filleting fast and easy by having fish placed belly-down at the infeed.
SLICING – Flexible, single-lane slicing with the Multi Angle Slicer MSC 90 MA.
PINBONING – The MS 2612.25 dual-lane salmon pinbone remover features two pinbone heads, giving it an operating capacity of up to 36 fillets/min.
SKINNING – The MS 1710 salmon skinner is the first skinner on the market to skin fillets head first, meaning no need to turn the fillets and less risk of gaping.
WHITEFISH AND SALMON
PORTION CUTTING – The I-Cut 130 PortionCutter is an ideal solution for high-value portioning of salmon into fixed-weight and fixed-length portions.
GRADING AND BATCHING – The TargetBatcher reduces giveaway, producing accurate fixed-weight batches of fresh and frozen fish products. The robust Compact Grader is an ideal standalone solution for small operations or larger companies requiring a machine to handle temporary or seasonal overflow.
WEIGHING – The Certified Flowscale is a high-capacity belt weigher that ensures extremely soft handling of delicate food products, with a high level of accuracy, and will be demonstrated in Seattle with a return conveyor.
FULL PRODUCTION CONTROL – Innova Food Processing Software is an integral part of the equipment on display and we will demonstrate how the software can further add value to your production.
The showhow is a great opportunity to meet with Marel specialists and seafood industry colleagues, and will conclude with Happy Hour on the final day, Friday 17th, from 4:30pm. The event also coincides with the Pacific Marine Expo (November 16-18) so visitors can attend both events.
