High Level of Interest at VIV Asia
09 Mar 2011
Following the company’s successful appearance at last month’s Gulfood exhibition in Dubai, the focus has now shifted firmly to the Far East and the Thai capital, Bangkok, where Marel personnel and agents from nine countries are currently showcasing some of the company’s latest integrated systems and equipment, at the 10th VIV Asia animal and meat production exhibition.
Spanning the meat and poultry industries, equipment featured at the company’s 100m2 Stand IE002 at this year’s show includes the Marel Platino meat flattener and I-Cut 22 portioner operating as an integrated system, along with a Stork JLR anatomic leg processing module and Stork GP live bird handling system.
“If the first day is anything to go by, we can expect a busy time ahead,” says Marel corporate director of marketing Ingólfur Örn Gudmundsson.
“The stand has been buzzing since we opened and we’ve been aware of a high level of interest both in the equipment we have on display and in the company and its products in general.”
Staged from March 9 – 11 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre, VIV is the largest single platform for the Asian-Pacific livestock industry, covering the full spectrum of animal production, including poultry, meat and dairy processing.
Based on the concept of Feed to Meat, this year’s event features exhibits by almost 700 companies from 45 countries, attracting thousands of visitors from all over Asia and beyond.
