Undoubtedly it has been a successful exhibition for Marel Poultry, teaming up with Turkish agent Feyzi S.A. at the stand. Area Sales Manager Ágúst Grétar Ágústsson, one of Marel Poultry’s product specialists at VIV Turkey says, “The TV screens, focusing on our highlighted products in the Turkish market, turned out to be enormous eye-catchers; they were important components in our overall great looking stand.”
During VIV Turkey Marel Poultry was unique in its industry by showing real-life equipment on the stand. The Stork AMF-i was an important novelty to present to the Turkish audience and indeed attracted a lot of attention. Besides that, other developments, such as ATLAS live bird handling system and RoboBatcher Flex also drew great interest, but the big hit of the show was without a doubt the Stork Thigh Fillet System. The Turkish market seems to be ready for automated inline deboning of thighs.
Potential for growth
The exhibition was lively, especially on Friday July 7th. Many quality customers, mainly from Turkey and the Middle East, found their way to the Marel Poultry stand. This popularity was illustrated by the visit of five of the most important customers in the market, already during the first day of the event. “Our experience after three days of VIV is that the Turkish market offers excellent potential for growth,” says Ágúst Ágústsson.
