Product End-Of-Life Policy
Marel aims to deliver the most innovative and cost-effective products. These products reach the end of their product lifecycle for a number of reasons, such as changes in market demand, technological innovation and new development, or simply because a newer updated version of the same product becomes available.
It is important to note that third-party electronic and software components used in Marel products occasionally become obsolete due to circumstances beyond Marel’s control. Marel makes every effort to ensure that this does not affect availability of parts, delivery timescales and the ability to support repair activities, but sometimes product discontinuation is the only option.
The product end-of-life policy defines how Marel communicates the main milestones within the end-of-life process. It is very important for Marel to make sure customers understand the role that the company can play in the process, in terms of helping them migrate to alternative Marel products, platforms and technology.
