Hash Browns

Hash brownsBreakfast potato patties

Hash Browns are a potato product made by portioning diced potatoes into patties, after which they are fried and can be frozen. In order to make them, potatoes are diced, mixed with shortening and often chopped onions too, and then fried to form a browned potato cake. They are a staple breakfast food at diners in North America, where they are often fried on a large common cooktop or griddle.

From portioning to frying and even freezing, Marel has mastered the art of producing hash browns like no other.
