EPIC conference

Preparing for tomorrow today

Being the most important supplier of poultry processing solutions in Great Britain and Ireland, Marel Poultry will participate in the 52nd EPIC conference. This Egg and Poultry Industry Conference takes place in the Celtic Manor Resort in Cardiff, UK, on 4 and 5 November.

EPIC is the main industry conference of the British Isles. During the two-day event, an impressive lineup of speakers from the poultry sector will gather around the central theme ‘Preparing for tomorrow today’.

The annual conference also comprises the ‘Poultry Person of the Year’ award winning ceremony and is supported by a large entertainment program, featuring the Red Hot Chili Pipers(!).

ATLAS SmartStack

ATLAS prepared for the future

Within the context of ‘Preparing for tomorrow today’, Marel Poultry’s revolutionary live bird handling system ATLAS is a perfect match. If any live supply solution has a bright future, this is it! The Stork ATLAS system takes on all future challenges that may arise, be it on the field of sustainability, animal well-being, hygiene, or food safety.

During the EPIC event, Marel Poultry will exhibit the SmartStack transport module, the most important component of the ATLAS system. First of all, the bottom tray doubles as a pallet, into which extra birds can be loaded. Thanks to this ingenious design, loading capacity can increase up to 38%, compared to other systems, which means fewer truck movements and less CO2 emission. At the same time, more space is available per bird: broilers benefit from the largest headroom in the industry. The SmartStack module not only provides sliding floors with hygienic Airflo principle, but also features removable side-panels to take out birds in distress.
