Towards automated processing in the Arab world

After the successful first VIV MEA trade fair in 2016, the second edition will be held from February 5 - 7, 2018 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Marel Poultry will focus on semi and full automation of poultry processes, as this is the road that lies ahead of many Arabian processors.

In Arabian and African countries, processing plants are growing in size and therefore the level of automation needs to increase too. No matter the capacity, be it 1,000 or 13,500 broilers per hour, Marel Poultry is always able to supply the appropriate systems and services which provide just the right level of automation.

Focus points

On display at our booth will be a sample of the Nuova eviscerator, our world famous evisceration system that combines an excellent drawing performance with overhanging of the viscera pack in a separate line for perfect giblet processing.

Also in the spotlights: our renowned plucking solution. We have a vast experience in plucking, gained worldwide over decades and backed by solid research. Our range of pluckers fits in any plucking situation, is suited for products of all weights and copes with all processing speeds.

Focus will be on Marel Poultry’s ChillingControl too, which provides an effortless gain by applying adaptive chilling. Precise air chilling control is crucial in poultry processing; products should reach the defined core temperature without frozen parts. Stork ChillingControl automatically adjusts tunnel settings to the load being handled. It saves energy, is more cost-efficient and optimizes product quality.

VIV MEA will particularly emphasize on the poultry industry, as the region is keen on developing its own production, especially poultry meat, in a responsible and sustainable way.
