The Board of Directors has assessed which directors are independent according to the Icelandic Guidelines on Corporate Governance. All seven directors are considered independent of the Company. Furthermore, all Board Directors are independent of large shareholders, except for Olafur Gudmundsson, who is a member of the board of directors of Eyrir Invest hf., holding 24.69% of Marel shares.
