Strategic Purchaser

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Strategic Purchaser to join our dynamic Procurement team in Nitra, Slovakia.
Your Role
As a Strategic Purchaser, you’ll be more than just a buyer – you’ll be a key player in shaping our supply chain and supplier partnerships for long-term success. You will work closely with our global and local teams to develop sourcing strategies, manage vendor relationships, and ensure that the materials and services we procure meet our high standards for quality, cost, and delivery.
Your daily tasks will look like this:
- Identify new suppliers and develop the relationship with them
- Lead and support local and regional sourcing initiatives in line with our global procurement strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align purchasing decisions with project and engineering needs
- Manage and optimize supplier relationships, focusing on performance, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Participate in tender processes, negotiate supplier contracts, and drive cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure the integration of selected suppliers into the product design and development process
- Monitor supplier performance and take action when quality, logistics, or cost targets are not met
- Provide input on price trends, cost models, and market developments
About you

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
- 3-5 years of experience in strategic purchasing, supplier development or supplier quality, ideally in a technical or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust
- A team player with a proactive mindset and a structured, analytical approach
- Experience working in international, cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of SAP (R/3) and comfort working in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment
- Fluent in English and Slovak, both written and spoken
