Spare Parts Coordinator

JBT Marel is growing!
We are looking for a new Spare Parts Coordinator to join our team in Opmeer, the Netherlands.

As a Spare Parts Coordinator, you will be responsible for processing and following up on new and existing spare parts quotes and orders. Your main responsibilities include managing spare parts requests and inquiries — such as quotations, return requests, delivery dates, and status updates.

You will work closely with the Customer Support Coordinator, Customer Care Manager, and Service Contract Coordinator, serving as a key stakeholder for Field Service and Technical Support in meeting spare parts needs throughout the customer journey.

The Spare Parts Coordinator is also a key contact for our internal supply chain organization, ensuring timely communication regarding confirmed delivery dates, delays, or other issues that may impact service levels or customer expectations.
 

Who we are
JBT Marel PMJ in Opmeer is a rapidly growing and innovative company specializing in the development and manufacturing of machines for the poultry processing industry — particularly for duck processing. We design and build both standard and custom-made machines for all phases of the production process.

Our team consists of 35 enthusiastic colleagues with a strong passion for technology. Our customers are located across Europe, as well as in Asia and the USA.


Main tasks

  • Receive and process spare parts requests, including quotations, orders, return requests, and inquiries about pricing and delivery

  • Follow up on all parts requests through to completion

  • Prepare and manage spare parts quotations

  • Communicate with the supply chain on availability, delivery dates, and other key issues

  • Escalate and resolve any issues that may compromise service levels or customer expectations

  • Provide input for spare parts forecasting and demand planning

  • Plan and prepare spare parts packages for scheduled maintenance activities

  • Advocate for the customer by being empathetic and service-oriented

  • Ensure customer needs are met promptly and efficiently

  • Maintain regular communication with other departments within the organization

  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs

About you

  • General education in business administration is preferred; college education is a plus

  • Background or training in communication, customer relations, logistics, or similar fields is preferred

  • Familiarity with spare parts processes and warehousing; experience in a sales or service environment is ideal

  • Experience using ERP systems (preferably in sales and warehouse modules)

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment

  • A service-minded, self-starting individual who manages time effectively and meets goals

  • Able to execute tasks and meet deadlines according to KPIs

  • Motivated by continuous improvement, with a focus on customer experience, efficiency, and growth

  • Proficient in computers and ERP systems

  • Good understanding of customer service principles and global supply chain processes

  • Result-oriented, proactive, and well-organized
