Information
The M-Line Neck Cutter robot works with a full-automatic articulating arm with an operating tool that cuts the neck of carcasses. The machine is installed in the evisceration hall (slaughter line) in the clean line.
The M-Line Neck Cutter guarantees a constant processing (meat) quality and contributes to a maximum hygienic slaughtering process, which results in a longer shelf-life of the meat products.
The carcasses are transported through the line by an overhead conveyor. First in the process, the carcass is 3D scanned. Based on the carcass scan, software determines an optimal tool cut path. The machine is adapted to pig size, shape and conformation. Each carcass has its own unique carcass cutting pattern for optimal performance and meat quality.
The M-Line Neck Cutter robot offers fully automatic loosening of the head by means of a special designed double knife, which cuts the neck just below the “Atlas” bone.
Patented "TwinTool" for M-Line robots
For all tasks that take place in the process area before clean inspection, there is a need to sterilize the tools after each operation.
The M-Line Neck Cutter use the advanced "TwinTool" sterilizing technology, which means that while one tool is in operation another similar tool is being sterilized inside a cabinet at the head of the robot.
Thus, no manual sterilization is needed with the M-Line Neck Cutter.
- Efficient sterilization
- Hygiene and food safety
- Increased shelf life
- No need to sharpen or change tool during production
- No action required during day
The M-Line Neck Cutter has a capacity of 650 carcasses per hour.
