Join our team as Field Service Engineer (Mechanical Fitter) and you will be part of dynamic and innovative company to support our customer in Australia. In this role, you will provide customer support for installed systems and new installations. You will develop the skills to test, troubleshoot, repair and optimize processing equipment in the poultry industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, execute and report preventative maintenance visits.
Conducting service visits.
Troubleshoot production issues at customers’ sites.
Manage local employees in weekend and weekday Preventative Maintenance visits.
Train the customer and feedback results.
You will work in a team with experienced coworkers, both at customer sites and in the office, who will teach you all the knowledge they have about our machines.
You will be ensuring that the Marel experience for customers match the Marel promise of superior performance, service, and quality with outstanding communication skills as you work closely with customer management, supervisors, etc.
You will complete on-site evaluations, install machine enhancements, and appropriately test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and product specifications.
You will troubleshoot and perform break fix services to high technology food processing equipment.
Qualifications:
Mechanical trade background or equivalent experience.
Prior work experience with troubleshooting, installing, and/or repairing industrial machines. With Food industry experience preferably
Possess or develop understanding of processing plants poultry,) and knowledge of how interdependent equipment works within the applications is a plus.
Ability and willingness to work multiple weekends each Month
Ability and willingness to travel regularly
Ideally based within 1-2 hours travel time of a capital city or major regional airport
Working Environment:
Depending on assigned work, the environment in a plant is cold, hot, humid, and wet. Customer demands dictate work during early mornings, late nights, and weekends. You must be comfortable working in an animal food production environment for Poultry.
