Internship: App Designer- Informatica/ Computer Science
The Assignment:
At the Warehouse Manufacturing department of JBT-Marel in Boxmeer, multiple trucks are loaded and unloaded daily. These trucks check in at the gate by pressing a buzzer, after which our forklift drivers receive a notification on their mobile phones and can open the gate via an app. However, there is a period of uncertainty for the truck driver until our forklift driver meets them.
We want to develop an app (in multiple languages) where truck drivers scan a QR code when they arrive at the gate and answer a few questions. Our forklift driver will receive the responses in the same app and, based on this information, provide the driver with the correct instructions regarding entry, parking, and the next steps in the process.
What You Will Do:
- Analyze the current situation and identify information needs.
- Determine the requirements for linking the app to the gate control system.
- Define specifications for the app.
- Develop, test, and implement the app.
