As part of our growth, we’re looking for an experienced and people-oriented Assembly Manager to lead and develop one of our most vital departments in Boxmeer.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll be responsible for the performance, development, and direction of our Assembly operations—ensuring that high-quality machines and components are delivered on time, every time.
Your Role
As the Assembly Manager, you’ll oversee a team of approximately 100 professionals, including 6 Team Leaders. You will be responsible for driving daily operations, aligning department output with production goals, and continuously improving performance.
This role sits at the heart of our production organization and requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders across Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Service, HR, and Quality. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our assembly capabilities evolve in step with business demands and innovation.
What you’ll be doing
Operational Leadership
- Lead daily operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and delivery targets are consistently met.
- Allocate and optimize resources (people, equipment, and materials) to maintain a balanced workflow.
- Monitor key performance indicators and proactively address risks or shortfalls.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements that enhance output, reduce waste, and improve quality.
- Support the introduction of new products by aligning assembly processes and capacity.
- Standardize best practices and align departmental initiatives with the company’s strategic direction.
Team Development & Leadership
- Coach and empower Team Leaders and their teams to take ownership and develop professionally.
- Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Foster high morale and ensure clarity of expectations, responsibilities, and goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the Assembly department’s main point of contact for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure integrated planning and effective problem-solving.
- Contribute to broader operational and site-wide initiatives.
Who We’re Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or business field.
- 3–5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or assembly setting.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and leading change.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across functions and levels.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (German is a plus).
- Proactive, hands-on leadership style with excellent organizational skills.
