Canteen Employee

We are now looking for a Canteen Employee to become an essential part of our vibrant canteen team.

What you will be doing:

As a Canteen Employee, you’ll play a key part in providing high-quality food service to our staff. You’ll support the Canteen Manager in a variety of food preparation and kitchen assistance duties, while helping maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Food Prep & Service: Assist in preparing and setting up breakfast and lunch buffets, including salad bars, main courses, and desserts using appropriate kitchen tools and equipment.
• Kitchen Support: Support cooks with necessary tasks and provide them with required items during meal prep.
• Stock & Supply: Receive and store kitchen supplies, assist with unloading deliveries, and monitor inventory.
• Cleaning & Hygiene: Wash equipment, dishes, utensils, and sanitize work areas using dishwashers or by hand.
• Dining Area Setup: Prepare the dining area by placing dishes, silverware, and glassware; ensure everything is tidy and ready.
• Waste Management: Sort and dispose of trash, clean bins, and maintain cleanliness in designated pickup areas.
• Monitoring: Log fridge and freezer temperatures and ensure proper food storage practices are followed.
• Refreshment Management: Prepare and replenish refreshments for meetings and celebrations. Keep coffee, tea, drink areas, and fridges (with fruits, sandwiches, dairy) stocked and clean.
