All shapes and sizes
Grinders are available for fresh meat in all shapes and sizes, such as the FRESHgrind 200 and 250. Frozen blocks of meat regardless of temperature can be processed by the BLOCKgrind, whereas the COMBIgrind handles both fresh and frozen meat.
The self-feeding BUFFERgrind 250 is designed and constructed for continuous grinding of fresh products. The machine consists of a hopper with a stirrer and screw. The stirrer ensures that the product is pressed down into the screw which subsequently presses the product through the knife house. Depending on the product, the BUFFERgrind can be equipped with different knives and hole plates.
Dry and clean
Every single grinder is equipped with a robust machine housing, made of heavy duty AISI 304 stainless steel. The screw and screw housing are made from stainless steel as well.
Marel’s grinders have been designed without corners or edges in order to facilitate cleaning. They meet the strictest hygiene requirements.
The inside of each machine is protected against water and other fluids by a specially made ventilation system which keeps the electrical, mechanical and pneumatic parts dry and clean.
The grinders are equipped with interlocked take-away safety cover over the grinding head.
A bone elimination system is available. Grinders can be equipped with a single or double knife set. They can operate as stand-alone machines or be part of an integrated processing line.
