Welcome to Demo Center Des Moines, where customers can meet with Marel experts and experience up close how our solutions are transforming food processing.
We focus on developing products in close partnership with our customers, as well as hosting events designed to demonstrate relevant products or processes to our partners in the food processing industry.
Co-creation with customers
Working with our technology in a simulated plant environment, food processors are invited to explore new ideas and collaborate with our specialists to develop new products and improve existing ones. You can bring your own raw materials or have our staff locally source the products needed.
At the end of the session, we use our demo kitchen to test and taste your newly developed products. Developing products in this way is an exciting act of co-creation that has yielded many new advances in food processing.
Demo Days
We host focused Demo Days that are tailored to the specific needs of a particular group of customers from the fish, meat or poultry processing industries. These open-house events feature demonstrations of the latest technology from Marel, often focusing on a certain product or process. Food processors can stop by or make an appointment ahead of time to discuss their company’s needs with Marel product specialists.
Return on investment
In addition to demonstrating how our technology will improve your organization’s processing results, we can provide you with a digital record of the demonstrations and product trials undertaken, where we qualify the return on investment (ROI).
Seeing is believing, and while demonstrations and trials show how Marel products have a significant and positive impact on results, we also provide those results in the form of KPIs (key performance indicators) and other metrics relevant to ROI, from increases in yield to your savings in carbon footprint.

Located in downtown Des Moines, Iowa, our facilities are just a few minutes’ drive from the Des Moines International Airport (DSM). Our Demo Center is ready to host you and your team for hands-on demonstrations and more. We can simulate real plant environments that allow us to replicate your specific plant and production conditions, produce a digital record of product trials and qualify your return on investment.
