Capital Markets Day - Growth

Marel is a growth company operating in a sizeable and attractive EUR 12 billion market with a positive outlook. The need for automation and digital solutions in the food value chain is driven by secular trends such as population growth and urbanization. We remain committed to the ambitious 10-year growth targets we announced in 2017, of an average annual increase in revenue of 12% and earnings per share growing faster than revenues. Our growth will be balanced between organic and acquired. It will be achieved by capitalizing on investments in innovation and market reach, complemented by strategic acquisitions and partnerships.

Capital Markets Day - Digitalization

The speed of digital transformation in our industry is accelerating. We see demand for advanced food processing solutions growing, driven by the rising need for automation, structural changes in consumer behavior and channel disruption, together with a growing focus on sustainable processing.

Investments in recent years have strongly positioned Marel to capitalize on the opportunities ahead. We now expect to accelerate and to increase our investments in digital solutions. The spotlight of this event is the digital technology that is embedded in food processing solutions and is crucial to the future of sustainable, affordable and safe food for a growing world population.

Capital Markets Day - Sustainability

One of the greatest challenges of our time is to deliver sustainable, safe, healthy food to the fast-growing population, within the limits of our planet. There is increasing awareness of how global food systems are central to the entire sustainable development agenda, and of the acute need to transform these systems.

Each year, Marel invests around 6% of revenues in innovation, whereby automation, digitalization and sustainability are key drivers behind new product development that has a meaningful impact on our industry. Alongside enabling our customers to drive sustainability, Marel is committed to meeting the highest standards of ESG.
