Dutch delegation at AIPEX Kenya
This African International Poultry & livestock Expo, supported by African governments, trade associations and chambers of commerce across Africa, is the largest venue of its kind in East and Central Africa.
AIPEX 2016 creates major opportunities for international and local poultry related companies to do business in Africa. And that's exactly what the Holland Pavilion is aiming at. This stand is the main part of the Dutch meat and processing trade mission to Kenya, which is organized by the NABC (Netherlands-African Business Council) in close cooperation with the Dutch Embassy in Nairobi. On behalf of Marel Poultry, Area Sales Manager Ruud Berkers will take part in this mission and therefore, he will be present at the AIPEX 2016.
After having been successful in accomplishing many projects in West Africa, Marel Poultry now explores new opportunities in the Eastern side of the continent. During AIPEX, local poultry processing companies can address Ruud Berkers, asking all their questions regarding new or expanding industrialization initiatives in the booming Kenyan and East-African poultry business.
Kenyan poultry market
The commercial Kenyan poultry sector is currently producing over one million chicks per week. The market is characterized by a growing urban population and growing retail sector (fast food branches, supermarket branches and restaurants). The demand for commercial chicken such as whole, half, parts, grilled and fried keeps growing. The necessity of quality slaughter houses and equipment is high and so is the need for adequate poultry processing consultancy, taking into account the local circumstances. Marel Poultry, aiming to globally advance food processing, can certainly respond to these two issues, a message which Ruud Berkers will share during AIPEX 2016.
