Gradual steps towards automation

Industrial processing will usually become viable once a sufficient customer base has been built up to justify the processing of some 500 broilers per hour.

Starting with a Stork overhead conveyor, a scalder and a plucker, the first step into industrialization will have been made. Next, when production increases to 1,000 or 2,000 bph, automated evisceration, using the Stork Nuova CoreTech, will be the best option.

Marel Poultry can offer invaluable advice to newcomers to industrial processing. We can help with the design and finish of the building and its various departments, with suitable equipment and its layout and with the provision of the services which will be necessary to operate the plant.

Please feel welcome to visit our Marel Poultry booth, situated in the Holland Pavilion. Area Sales Manager Africa Mr Jeroen Simons will be available to answer your questions regarding all possible steps in poultry processing automation.
