Judging by the number of visitors to Marel’s stand at the 2018 Seafood Expo North America (SENA) the focus on quality processing equipment and Innova Food Processing Software has struck a chord with seafood processors from far and wide.

Several Marel products were especially popular with the crowds on day one, including the MS 2730 salmon filleting machine with back and belly trim and, also for salmon producers, the MS 1355 Salmon Skinning Machine.

We are happy to see today that processors recognize how we build quality into every aspect of our products. It has become part of the Marel signature; that we put such a huge emphasis on preserving the best possible raw material quality for our customers throughout production.

Other product demonstrations that have been getting a lot of attention are the SmartLine Grader, the M360 high-speed linerless wraparound labeler, and the VR experience which invites visitors to take a break from Boston and step inside hi-tech processing plants for a few minutes to see full-blown salmon processing lines as well as the innovative FleXicut pinboning and portioning line in action.

There’s still plenty of time for visitors to come and explore Marel’s fish processing innovations at booth #865 before SENA concludes on Tuesday, 13 March.
