Information

Control of poultry processing operations is becoming ever more automated, and it’s essential to provide good and clear information about the functioning of different stages in the process. To that end, Marel has developed the Equipment Monitoring EQM software application.

EQM is a standalone plug-in app for monitoring individual items of equipment such as live bird handling, anesthetization, automatic transfer and chilling systems. It uses data obtained from sensors and switch boxes and operates in a web-based environment.

Invaluable early warning

EQM provides uniformly presented, clear and up-to-the-minute information about the technical condition of the system it’s monitoring. It alerts to undesirable variances and displays an alarm in the central control room when problems occur, allowing management to intervene immediately and keep the negative impact of equipment malfunction to a minimum.

Historical information provided by the software helps with day-to-day maintenance planning, which can then be carried out as conveniently and cost-effectively as possible.

Real-time situations

The easy-to-install EQM add-on can be configured to suit individual production requirements. It not only provides customizable messages on real-time situations but also stores historical information. Various reporting options give you an effective tool for analyzing past performance data. It’s even possible to add comments on an individual alarm, such as what triggered it and the remedial action taken.

Improves uptime

EQM can play an important role in optimizing your process. It can improve the uptime of your processing line, increasing your yield. Machinery that works well and is promptly maintained will last longer.

Data from web-based EQM can be made available to all PCs in a customer’s network in the customer’s own language. It can also be accessed by the Marel help desk, to help with resolving problems.
