The HLS-T has been developed for processing turkey hearts (both male and female). Any residual pericardium or aorta is removed from the turkey hearts, as is any blood and fat remaining in the heart. The HLS-T does not separate lungs when processing turkey hearts. Hearts are removed from the viscera pack without the lungs and only then fed into the HLS-T.
