Information
Our M-Line Pre-cutter and Belly opener (MPB) divides the pelvic bone, separates the ham into two parts, opens the belly and cuts the breastbone into two equal parts – all combined in one single operation.
With the use of a robot for the heavy work of splitting the pelvic bone and opening the belly and breastbone, repetitive strain work injuries are no longer an issue in the slaughter process.
Patented "TwinTool" for M-Line robots
For all tasks that take place in the process area before clean inspection, there is a need to sterilize the tools after each operation.
The M-Line Pre-Cutter and Belly Opener use the advanced "TwinTool" sterilizing technology, which means that while one tool is in operation another similar tool is being sterilized inside a cabinet at the head of the robot.
Thus, no manual sterilization is needed with the M-Line Pre-Cutter and Belly Opener.
- Efficient sterilization
- Hygiene and food safety
- Increased shelf life
- No need to sharpen or change tool during production
- No action required during day
The latest techniques in 3D scanning are applied and ensure a high cutting accuracy. Several scans of the carcasses are converted to a precise movement of the robot and cutting tool – via software internally developed by Marel. This movement is 100 % synchronized with the transport of the carcass. The industrial robot used is 100 % suitable for the task and well protected against aggressive environments.
The M-Line Pre-Cutter and Belly Opener has a capacity of 650 carcasses per hour.
