Fully automated fish packing and styling

The RoboBatcher Thermoformer packs and styles fish portions into thermoformer pockets, directly after cutting. It does it according to precise fixed-weight or catch-weight requirements and a predefined styling pattern.

Fixed-weight and catch-weight packing for retail

The system uses a unique combination of innovative robotic technology and state-of-the-art batching software, to create fixed-weight retail packs so close to target weight that giveaway is always minimal. Pieces within particular weight ranges can be diverted into certain packs to meet specific customer requirements, helping you fulfill orders efficiently and cost-effectively. Any pieces that are out of spec can be bypassed, improving quality control. The system can also create fixed-count retail packs, with up to 200 picks per minute, ensuring you get the most value possible from your raw material.

High-speed robotic processing

With unmatched speed and accuracy, the system can process up to 120 fish pieces per minute. It has unique grippers specifically designed for gentle product handling, ensuring even the most fragile fish isn’t damaged during packing.

Hands-free processing for minimal manual handling

The system virtually eliminates manual handling from the packing process so you can create fish products of the highest quality and hygiene. It also significantly reduces your reliance on manual labor, making your production process more secure and reliable.

The Robobatcher Thermoformer handles fish portions. It can process up to 120 pieces per minute depending on the type of product.

It is a modular system with a two or three-cell setup, depending on required throughput. It offers common lane batching with two or more robot heads working together to finalize each batch.

Full line fish processing

To give you full processing flexibility and total production control, the RoboBatcher Thermoformer can be combined into a total fish processing system. This could include an I-Cut PortionCutter, slicers and filleting machines.

Monitor and control batching

The Innova module for RoboBatchers lets you monitor and control your batching operation in real time. The software provides live dashboards showing data for key performance indicators such as giveaway and throughput. They give you a clear overview of actual production and highlight where improvements can be made or whether any corrective action needs to be taken to ensure production is running optimally. Remote program management allows you to control the RoboBatchers settings directly from the office.

Get operational insight

Information about all batches produced is collected and stored in the Innova database. Standard reports can then be created giving you an insight into operational performance on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. This statistical analysis takes away the guesswork and allows you to make data-driven decisions to optimize your batching.

Innova software can be implemented stand-alone with your RoboBatcher or it can be integrated with other Marel processing equipment across a full-line solution.
