The VC-i represents a revolutionary leap in poultry processing technology. it is the world's first intelligent vent cutter featuring PUPIL vision technology with artificial intelligence for performance monitoring. This innovative vent cutter delivers aonsistently high and robust performance through a profoundly hygienic process with minimal human intervention.

Improved technology

The vent cutter's technology has been completely overhauled, from the processing steps to the smallest details in its unit design. The VC-i features 20 newly developed units capable of handling a line speed of up to 15,000 bph. This improved technology ensures consistent, high performance with optimal hygienic conditions. Throughout the development of the VC-i, the cost of ownership (COO) was a key focus. The unit's more open construction enhances cleanability and minimizes cross-contamination risks. Additionally, its smart product detection system saves water by identifying empty shackles and adjusting operations accordingly.

Pre-defined recipes via automated settings

When a flock change occurs, you can easily select a pre-defined recipe via the HMI touchscreen. The VC-i automatically adjusts its independent settings to achieve optimal parameters (such as drill depth) for the incoming flock. Thanks to these recipe settings, manual adjustments based on guesswork are no longer necessary. By eliminating human error in this way, the VC-i ensures consistent, robust performance with minimal contamination risks across flocks and shifts.

PUPIL - vision technology with AI

PUPIL (Precision Unified Processing with Intelligent Learning) employs advanced deep-learning artificial intelligence to monitor VC-i's performance. It provides real-time insights into the efficiency of vent cutting, monitoring whether cloacas are positioned correctly.

Software

SmartBase

The VC-i cutter enters the digital area, with a HMI touchscreen, real-time insights with PUPIL and dashboarding via SmartBase. Digitalization provides a more transparent machine that is easy to use and allows you to be in control of your process.  

SmartBase provides real-time insights into the machine's health, displayed on accessible dashboards that can be viewed remotely via computer, screen or mobile device. It offers early warning alerts on machine health status and performance at both  machine and unit levels, enabling proactive adjustments and maintenance. This gives you a clear and complete overview of your system and processes.
