Primary Lines: "Basically, we really like the equipment."

Interest in the Beef Primary Line was as significant as the full-line solution's advantages, with two deals made at the event. The export market to the US is booming in Mexico. Processors looking to take advantage of this recognized the competitive edge Marel and Sulmaq's combined portfolio provides through increased automation, integration, and connectivity, "We are very satisfied with the quality, with the advanced technology it has," one large beef processor commented, "Basically, we really like the equipment."

Prospering with Case Ready Lines

The highly accurate Portion Cutters like the I-Cut 360 and the consistent sausages of the Frank-A-Matic Linker attracted a lot of attention from customers looking for strategies to increase food safety and add value to their final product for the domestic retail markets.

Marel, MAJA and TREIF's integrated portfolios attracted smaller and mid-sized businesses. With single-skill and scalable solutions that suited the needs of their business today while ensuring their investment had the flexibility to meet their needs in the future. "People wanted the benefits of an industry leader like Marel, even if their needs were much smaller. It's great that our expanded portfolio provides this," a Marel expert said.

Digital curiosity

The conference on the 22nd, organized by Consero Mexicano Carnes, provided an opportunity for Alberto Estrada, Software Sales Manager for LATAM, to present Marel's software journey for meat processing. Every seat soon filled and when the conference finished, Alberto had a line of people wanting to hear more about the advantages of digital integration. "Customers were excited to see how data-driven solutions can provide valuable insights to gain more visibility on the production floor resulting in improvements to the bottom line."
