Standard Flowline for Trimming
The Standard Flowline for Trimming is used for trimming small groundfish (haddock, Alaska pollock), farmed whitefish species (tilapia, pangasius, catfish) and small salmonids (rainbow trout).
The Standard Flowline for trimming replaces a manual table-/ conveyor- or tray based trimming system. It is designed to be part of an integrated processing solution, following the Standard Flowline for hand filleting (see below).
The Standard Flowline operates on three conveyor levels. Fillets are automatically delivered to operators on the top conveyor. After trimming, the final product is automatically released to the lower conveyor, while waste is discharged on the third conveyor. All incoming and outgoing product is weighed with high accuracy and the data linked to each operator.
Throughout the process, Innova production management software collects production data, thereby also monitoring individual performance of the workers. The data is used to control the incoming and outgoing flow of raw material on the line, which includes the quality inspection process. The data can be used to track valuable KPIs or quality aspects and provides valuable real-time information on performance and yield of individual workers and the complete flowline.

Smart Solution for Smart Processing
The brain behind most Marel equipment and all our integrated systems, Innova Food Processing Software provides the complete information solution required to enable food processors of all types to optimize profits and production performance.
Innova Food Processing Software offers the most important manufacturing execution system (MES) functionality required in today's food processing. Covering the complete production cycle value chain, from reception to product dispatch, Innova provides all the key performance indicators (KPIs) that relate to every stage of processing, as well as full traceability from source to shelf.
Innova closely monitors and controls critical KPIs in realtime, including yield, throughput and efficiency, giveaway, quality, stock levels, stock movements, traceability and profitability.
A modular offering designed to help you make processing more efficient and profitable. Innova is scalable and covers every aspect of food processing. You can utilize a single module or implement integrated plant wide systems.
The Integrated Solution
In the integrated solution the headed and gutted fish is first fed into the hand filleting Standard Flowline via hopper scales that register the weight of each batch delivered to individual operators. Innova controls the distribution of batches to the operators according to their capacities, and delivers real-time information on capacity and yield both of the line as well as on individual operators. Samples from the filleting line are automatically delivered to QC inspectors who keep track of defects and filleting quality of each operator.
Filleted fish pass through skinning and chilling before being automatically distributed to the individual trimming operators in small batches.
The workstations are designed with worker comfort and performance in mind and include manually adjustable platforms, water guns, knife holders and a data terminal which enables operators to monitor their performance, both individually and compared to the line average.
