Success for Marel at Avícolas y Porcinos 2022

Argentina's poultry industry is working hard daily to deliver healthy, safe, accessible and high-quality products to the foodservice and retail markets. There's a strong need for automation, today more than ever. The country's automation process must even accelerate, due to the situation imposed by Covid-19 and the lack of manpower.

Marel participated in the Avicola en conjunto con Porcinos exhibition and presented in Buenos Aires its latest innovations for the sector. The event, which took place from March 9 to 11, gathered more than 160 companies from all over the world.
At the fair, visitors were attracted to our booth by our most modern and innovative solutions for cutting, deboning, weighing, grading and batching, and packaging for all types of final products, fresh or frozen, cuts or whole poultry. Existing and new customers particularly favored our solutions such as the ACM-NT cut-up system, AMF-i's intelligent breast cap deboning, FHF-XB front half deboning, SmartLine Grader, CompactGrader, SpeedBatcher and Multihead Weigher IQF. 

Keynote on animal welfare

Marel was proud to sponsor the 13th International Poultry Science Seminar, organized simultaneously with the Avícola y Porcinos 2022 exhibition. In this edition, the global product manager of live bird handling Tim van Schaik held a keynote on March 10th on the topic "Poultry processing from an animal welfare perspective", addressing the impact of poultry welfare on production from the farm to the processing plant.

Tim van Schaik's lecture hit the nail on the head and caused great curiosity among the audience about the solutions that Marel has available in these areas. After the lecture, visitors went looking for the Marel booth where Marco Solleveld was almost overwhelmed by people informing about how to approach animal welfare in poultry processing.
